Audiologists Rene, Rozelle, and Lauren from our practice from, Gehoor in die Moot, recently immersed themselves in a two-day summit hosted by the African Partners in Practice Forum. The event, featuring experts Dr. Cliff Olsen and Dr. Keith Darrow, spotlighted the intriguing connection between hearing loss and dementia.
Dr. Keith Darrow, renowned for his dual roles as a neuroscientist and audiologist, unveiled the neural pathways linking hearing loss to cognitive decline. His emphasis on early intervention as a preventive measure left a lasting impact on attendees.
Dr. Cliff Olsen, leveraging his wealth of experience, shared practical strategies to address cognitive issues stemming from hearing loss. He started his YouTube channel – Doctor Cliff, AuD – to educate consumers on their hearing loss treatment options and the importance of Hearing Aid Best Practices.
